The aisled interior of the Barley Barn (1205–30) at Cressing Temple, Essex, showing the timber frame which was reconstructed and re-roofed with crown posts, collars and purlins, in the 15th and 16th centuries. The barn has been
reconstructed and reduced in size (c 1400 and c 1500) and now measures 36m x 13.6m x 11.3m high.
